Magnesia brick is an alkaline refractory material with a magnesium oxide content of over 90% and mainly composed of periclase crystal phase. Magnesia brick is a refractory brick made by firing fused magnesia and sintered magnesia at high temperatures.

Magnesia bricks have high fire resistance and good alkali slag resistance. They have a high softening temperature under load, but poor thermal shock resistance. Sintered magnesia bricks are made from magnesia bricks as raw materials. After crushing, batching, mixing, and forming, they are fired at high temperatures of 1550-1600 ℃. The firing temperature for high-purity products is above 1750 ℃. Non poured magnesia bricks are made by adding appropriate chemical binders to magnesia sand, mixing, molding, and drying.

Application of magnesia brick:
Mainly used for steelmaking alkaline open hearth furnaces, electric furnace bottoms and walls, permanent lining of oxygen converters, non-ferrous metal smelting furnaces, high-temperature tunnel kilns, lining of calcined magnesia bricks and cement rotary kilns, bottom and walls of heating furnaces, lattice bricks for glass kiln heat storage rooms, etc.
